Dung Beetle

A black color dung beetle. Dung beetles are beetles that feed partly or exclusively on feces. This was in Sahyadri Hills near Karnala Fort.

This common clubtail dragonfly is yellow and black in color with four wings sitting on a branch.

Skink

It was a beautiful brown colour type of skink. There was golden stripes on its sides which shined vibrantly in sun. Also it has thin leg fingers as seen with its tail in unusual shape.

Lynx Spider

They all are hunting spiders that spend their lives on plants, flowers and shrubs. The spider shown is a Yellow coloured Lynx Spider with thorn like in its legs. Six of their eight eyes are arranged in a hexagon-like pattern

Toothpick Grasshopper

The green color long with divided mouth is like a toothpick. It is well camouflaged in the green leaves in order to protect itself.

Mylabris pustulata (Orange Blister Beetle)

These beetles have black and red stripes on their body. These beetles sit on the flowers shown in picture. Each one sits on one flower. There are lot of such flowers containing such beetles. The scene looks beautiful with each beetle on each flower.

This is signature spider found in Yeoor Hills was weaving its web. This is brightly golden color spider with black body.
